- By SCOTT REID

Scottish recruitment firm Livingston James Group has expanded into the north-west of England with the opening of an office in Manchester.

The firm has opened an arm of Rutherford Cross, its specialist senior finance recruitment business, in the city. The group has three other offices, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Guilford.

Sandra Mckinnon, who has been with the firm for more than seven years and was previously head of tax and treasury recruitment in Scotland for Rutherford Cross, will lead the operation. She will specialise in the tax, treasury, and advisory areas in Manchester, as well as look to expand the team in the region.

Group co-founder Jamie Livingston said: “The launch of the Manchester office comes on the back of a period of strong growth for the group with headcount now approaching 40 colleagues and turnover on track to break £6 million for the year.”

Other strategic initiatives undertaken by the group in 2017 have included the launch of the technology and busi- ness change brand, Hamilton Forth, in May of this year, and the opening of the office in Guildford, in the south-east of England.

The Livingston James Group was established in 2009 and comprises six specialist recruitment brands – Livingston James, Rutherford Cross, Drummond Bridge, Edison Bond, Amicus Ford and Hamilton Forth. 0 Jamie Livingston: ‘Period of strong growth’ for the group
