Queen of the South The same old story

There are only two guarantees in life; a Scotland qualifying campaign ending in heartbreak, and Queens reaching the latter stages of the Challenge Cup.

This past week has seen both, as Scotland exited the World Cup qualifiers on goal difference, and Queens reached the quarter finals of the Irn-bru Cup. A trip to Shropshire to play The New Saints is our reward for defeating Montrose on Saturday. Having already travelled to Berwick in this competition, it will be our second visit to England, only our opponents will be Welsh this time, not Scottish. It will provide our travelling supporters with the opportunity to visit a new ground, and a day out to relish. However, it will be a stern test for our players.
