What a fitting farewell to management for a true ambassador of Falkirk Football Club. Alex Smith, the oldest manager in Europe at 77 years of age, bowed out from his interim return to management with a fine win over our old enemy!

Falkirk’s 1-0 win last week over Morton followed by the convincing victory at home to Dunfermline sees Smith head back up to the stand boasting a 100 per cent record. This is the first time we have managed to win back-to-back matches since the League Cup group stages. The fans were in buoyant mood during Saturday’s match as we cruised into the last eight of the Irn-bru Cup and Smith’s name was sung around the ground with minutes to go.
