So a Westminster debate is to take place on 13 November following over 220,000 of us signing the petition that “Another Scottish referendum should not be allowed to happen”.
Prepare yourself for one SNP MP after another queuing up to make the counter-intuitive claim that this shows Scotland’s future being decided in Westminster – as though London is in a remote foreign land. Once again, just as after the 2014 referendum, I’m sure Nicola Sturgeon and the rest of the SNP establishment’s instinct will be to ride rough-
shod over the views of the people and dismiss our opinion as an aberration. Sadly, it seems we are destined to play second fiddle to Ms Sturgeon’s nationalist dogma. The majority of Scots are indeed fortunate to have Westminster to protect us from the SNP.

The former First Minister, Alex Salmond, vainly led his troops to the top of the hill in 2014. His hapless successor in office has been tasked with leading them back down again. One attitude both SNP leaders share is an unhealthily arrogant disdain for their opponents, the latest example being the flourishing of the cough sweets at the Nationalist party conference. It is unpleasant to watch a party leader wallow in another’s misfortune.
They just cannot help being nasty it seems, and, forget the Tories, the SNP is now
undoubtedly the nasty party.
