Insurer Aviva says farewell to Taiwan

Insurance giant Aviva has announced it will exit Taiwan after agreeing to sell its 49 per cent stake in a local joint venture to its partner First Financial Holding.

The move – confirmed yesterday – follows a strategic review by the insurer, which determined that the business was “not central to the group’s strategy”.
