Student, 20, has chance to play historic organ
One of the UK’S most gifted music students has been given a rare chance to play a prized organ built for the 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition.
Aaron Hawthorne, 20, a third-year music student at the University of Glasgow, was recently crowned UK Young Theatre Organist of the Year 2017. He is already beginning to make a name for himself within the niche area of the cinema organ.
Aaron will give an organ recital at Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow along with another talented student, Matthew Mcilree, on 17 October.
