Woman, 64, dies after fire at house

A woman has died following a house fire in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the property in Springburn Road just after 11pm on Saturday.

The body of a 64-yearold woman was recovered within the building.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 11:05pm on Saturday, 14 October, to reports of a house fire.”

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said inquiries had been carried out and that there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.
