Teenager arrested over man’s death

A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in North Lanarkshire.

Jack Wilson, 20, from Vorlich Wynd, Newarthill, was found unconscious with serious head injuries at 10pm on Saturday.

He was discovered on waste ground in Keir Hardie Avenue, Holytown, and was takeno Wishaw General Hospital. Police said he died yesterday.

A 15-year-old male has been arrested and is being held in police custody in connection with the incident. Police Scotland said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
