Real ale recalled

The article in Saturday’s Scotsman about the return of Leith Heavy brought back many happy memories for me. Before retraining as a lecturer, I had worked as a microbiologist in quality control for many years for Scottish & Newcastle in the Fountainbridge and Holyrood breweries in Edinburgh and Whitbread in Devon.
