Aberdeen Capital double

-

It was a capital double for us this week. The senior team produced a great performance to beat Hibs, the win setting us up for the game against Celtic next week perfectly. Meanwhile, the U20s were doing the business against Hearts in a game that saw fine displays from Frank Ross and the 16-year-old skipper, Dean Campbell, whose goal was a thing of beauty.

That win over Hearts, coupled with the continuing success of Scott Mckenna in the first team and the news of Scott Wright signing a contract extension, are further evidence the youth development programme is starting to produce players who look first-team ready. It’s been a longterm project, but, with the benefits starting to show, many will feel vindicated given the time and effort put in by the staff over the years.
