Arrest in build-up to Chelsea game

A man was arrested last night as police clashed with a crowd of fans ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League match against Roma.

Police were alerted to reports of disorder near High Street Kensington Tube station around 5:45pm, Scotland Yard said.

Footage posted on social media showed a large group of men being forced back by officers.

The incident occurred two hours before kick-off at nearby Stamford Bridge.
