-

New figures have revealed another rise in passengers at a leading Scottish regional airport operator.

A total of 522,476 customers used the 11 airports across Scotland run by Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd between July and September this year.

The latest figures show an increase of 36,038 passengers compared to the same quarter in 2016 – a 7.4 per cent boost.

There was an increase across most of the airports, including a 20 per cent rise at Tiree Airport, a 19 per cent spike at Barra, and 11 per cent growth at both Islay and Kirkwall.
