Activpayroll ramps up German presence
Activpayroll, the payroll and tax compliance specialist headquartered in Aberdeen, has pushed the button on a new operation in Germany.
The firm had been working with German payroll partner Annette Weinel since 2002, and on the back of the strategic partnership has decided to establish its own presence in Frankfurt, with the existing German team transferring to local offshoot Activpayroll Gmbh.
The new office will provide German payroll and expat services and allow the firm to strengthen relationships with current and potential customers.
Alison Sellar, chief executive of Activpayroll, said: “We’ve substantially invested in this office by upgrading the infrastructure, payroll software, IT and have started hiring additional people to support our growth.
“Germany is one of the many strategic countries Activpayroll has identified with considerable potential, hence we expect substantial growth in the next six to 12 months.”
Weinel, who is regional director, Germany, added: “I am extremely proud to be expanding the Activpayroll brand in Frankfurt. A lot of hard work, commitment and enthusiasm have been put into setting up this office and the team are delighted to be a crucial part of Activpayroll’s global expansion plans.”
Activpayroll specialises in providing “integrated global payroll solutions”, expatriate taxation services and online human resource people management tools to more than 1,000 companies in some 140 countries.
