Dumbarton Almost on target

-

St Mirren probably edged the game on Saturday as they ran out 2-0 winners. The most frustrating thing from our point of view was that the goals were cheaply given away and conceded at the wrong times that put the game out of reach.

We matched the league leaders well, though, and taking one of our chances when we were on top could have made it a different game. At the end of the first quarter we have been competitive in every game this season, apart from a 4-0 loss to Dunfermline. We’ve only lost by the odd goal in the majority of our defeats so we’re nearly there. Nine points from the first quarter is just shy of the target of ten so we’ll need to pick up an unexpected win somewhere, which we are fairly used to doing.
