Under the skin
It beggars belief that in the 21 st century the former Labour Constituency chairman for Pollok, Asim Khan, is openly justifying ( via a mass mailed press release) those thousands of dubious recent recruits into Scottish Labour–including his own 15 year old daughter – to support Anas Sarwar’s bid for the Scottish Labour leadership for no other reason than shared skin colour.
It matters not whether a candidateis a three legged purple polka- dotted Martian vegan with Asperger’s: the sole correct criteria is the talent they bring to the task.
Sectarianism is a big enough bane in Scotland, where advancement is limited to those “kicking with the correct foot”, without the legitimisation of this toxic addition to society’ s institutionalised neanderthalism.
That Khan and hi silk openly admit to basing their ballot on pigmentation is a glaring indictment of society’ s hypocritical values where ethnic minorities are exempted from censure forth every bigotry they de cry in others (“It’s a cultural thing”).
