Maven Capital Partners exits Crawford holding

Private equity house Maven Capital Partners has exited its investment in South Lanarkshire- based Crawford Scientific followingits sale to Limerston Capital Partners.

Announcing the deal yesterday, Glasgow-based Maven said its clients had realised a return of 4.7 times the initial investment in just over three years.

Since investingin August 2014, the firm has worked collaboratively with Strathaven- based Crawford Scientific on a number of strategic initiatives, including the acquisi - tion of Hall Analytical Laboratories, which Maven’s clients also funded.

The investment from Limerston will enable Crawford to capitalise on the trend of outsourcing acrossa range of sectors, most notably the pharmaceuticals industry.

David Milroy, investment director at Maven, said: “It was obvious during our very first meeting that Crawford had something special in terms of its technical know- how.”
