Well done Chris

-

My wife and I watched TV naturalist Chris Packham bare his soul to BBC viewers last week about his lifelong struggle with Asperger syndrome.

While we’re fortunate enough not to have firsthand knowledge of that aspect of autism, we admired Mr Packham’s frankness and ability to describe his innermost feelings towards the world, as well as his relationship with those closest to him. We must thank him for giving us an insight into the world of autistic children who, sadly, can be found in every community.

While the producers chose not to dwell too much on the clinical side of that unfortunate syndrome, they certainly got across that Mr Packham was clearly in control of his life and that he most certainly had something to give to the world. ARCHIBALD A LAWRIE
