Carpetright sees profits floored

-

Retailer Carpetright said yesterday that its half-year profits would track behind last year.

UK like-for-like sales were up 0.8 per cent for the 25 weeks to 21 October, with total sales rising 1.8 per cent, according to a trading update.

Chief executive Wilf Walsh said: “We expect a significantly stronger second half with fullyear profit within the current range of market expectations.”
