Heart of Midlothian Teenage kicks
I am writing this after a gratifying win against bogey team, St Johnstone, conscious that it will be read post the Edinburgh derby. Saturday’s game was hardly a classic but Hearts deserved the points for fashioning the few real chances there were.
Hugely gratifying was seeing three teenagers play their part, not least Harry Cochrane, whose impact ultimately won us the match. Michael Stewart remains unimpressed with Levein’s style but the manager was right to start our post-cathro rebuilding with a simple method plus organisation and application, and look to develop flair as we return to Tynecastle. As Robbie found, however, the fans’ patience is as good as your last derby result.
