‘ Unexploded device’ found on canal path

A railway station has been shut as a precaution after an“unexploded device” was found on a nearby canal path.

Officers discovered t he object on the path near Cleveden Road, Glasgow at around 11: 25am yesterday.

A bomb disposal team has been called out as investigat­ions continue to establish whether or not the device is viable.

Police said Kelvin dale Railway Station has been closed asap re caution, however the railway line remains open.

Network Rail said it was a police matter.
