Morton Missing spark

-

Neither Morton nor Dumbarton could claim the rights of being “pride of the Clyde” as Saturday’s clash ended in a stalemate.

Jim Duffy’ s starting line-up caused some uncertainty yet again, with Jai Quitongo forced out to the left- hand side of a midfield four.

Alongside Quitongo was Gary Harkins, who replaced the injured Michael Tidser. And the miss of the former Oldham midfielder was clear with a lack of creativity and spark from the centre of the field.

Saturday’ s draw meant Morton slipped to sixth, seven points behind this weekend’s opponents, arch- rivals St Mirren. The ’Ton will hope to emulate their last Renfrewshire derby result, when they ran out convincing 4- 1 winners.
