Queen of the South Costly victory

Despite making hard work of it, Queens kept up their good form against the teams below us with a one- goal victor y over Brechin. With results elsewhere going in our favour, we are now in fifth position.

However, the result may have come at a cost. James Mcfadden and Jordan Marshall both had to be replaced after picking up injuries, and Jason Kerr, the scorer of our last two league goals, was sent off for his involvement in a melee. A three- match ban would be the punishment for violent conduct, but the club have announced they are appealing the decision. It was a timely result given it was our first league victory since the 4- 1 thrashing of next Saturday’s opponents Falkirk in August.
