Convention to flag release of fish farming sites
Brexit and digital connectivity will be among the issues discussed at a rural convention in Oban today.
Rural economy secretary Fergus Ewing will also outline plans to identify Scotland’s first aquaculture innovation sites.
The Convention of the Highlands and Islands (COHI) will be chaired by Deputy First Minister John Swinney.
Mr Ewing said: “Fish and shellfish farming contributes some £620 million to the national economy every year. Atlantic salmon production accounts for 90 per cent of the economic impact.”
