Homes searched after pair arrested
Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested in a North Yorkshire market town on suspicion of preparing for an act of terrorism.
The teenagers were detained by counter-terrorism police in Northallerton on Saturday and were taken to a West Yorkshire police station for questioning.
Searches have been carried out at a number of properties, which have focused on the town’s Romanby area. A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers believe that this is an isolated incident.”
