Mobility scooter driver dies after collision with car

An elderly woman has died after she was knocked down while travelling on a mobility scooter.

Margaret Lambie, 75, passed away at hospital on Sunday following the crash in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on Friday.

Police said she was on her mobility scooter in Greenside Street about 3:10pm when she was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra travelling south.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the crash.

Sergeant Ruth Aitchison said: “Our thoughts are with Ms Lambie’s family and friends at this very difficult time.””
