Historic clan’s castle seat put on the market

A majestic castle that was once the seat of the Clan Grant chiefs of Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands is up for sale.

Castle Grant, a mile north of Grantown-on-spey, Morayshire, dates back to the 16th century and is A-listed.

The 13,000 sq ft, ten-bedroom home is on the market for £950,000. It also includes ballroom, drawing room, billiard room, cinema room and butler’s room.

The house, originally known as Freuchie Castle, is set in 35 acres of parkland and mature woodland.
