Family tributes after woman hit by car dies

The family of a woman who died following a road crash in the Borders have said they are “devastated” by their loss.

Sharon Wilson, from Walkerburn, was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes A150 car while she was out walking.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A72 near the village about 11am on 16 October. Inquiries are continuing.

The 50-year-old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries and was later transferred to Western General Hospital, where she died on Friday.
