Near miss as firework set off in Torry flats

A firework has damaged a block of flats in Aberdeen after being set off in the building’s communal landing.

The incident at Balnagask Wynd was reported about 6:15pm on Monday.

Torry Community Policing Team Sergeant Jon Spence said: “Thankfully no-one was injured and there was only minor damage caused to the building, but the reality is the… consequences could have been fatal.”
