Pet snake found in kitchen in Halloween fright

A pet snake has delivered a shock after being found in the kitchen of a West Lothian property.

The Scottish SPCA was called out afterthe animal was discovered in the Bathgate home yesterday morning. Senior animal rescue officer Fiona Thorburn said snakes were “notorious escape artists”.

“Fleur, the royal python, has been missing for three to four weeks, so her owner Phoebe was delighted to hear from us,” she said.
