Great London Scot Award for artist Jolomo
Scottish artist John Lowrie Morrison – known as “Jolomo” – is to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award celebrating the success of Scots on a Uk-wide platform.
Previous winners include Andy Murray, Nicola Benedetti and businessman Sir Ian Wood.
The ceremony, in London on 24 November, will help raise money for the Doddie Weir 5 Trust, set up to raise money for research into motor neurone disease. Weir, a former Scottish international rugby player has been diagnosed with the condition.
The Great London Scots Awards were established in 2013 to celebrate the success of Scots with a close connection to London. 0 The artist is receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award
This year’s Award for Outstanding Achievement goes to Lucinda Russell, the first Scottish female trainer to win the Grand National in April this year. The Outstanding Young Talent award goes to rugby player Mark Robertson, part of the history-making Scotland Sevens squad and an Olympic silver medallist.
