St Johnstone Calling Lady Luck

- SJ

Saints need a bit of luck to break the goalless run. The problem might be how long until that bit of luck comes along.

Tommy Wright identified the mental issue when things are not going well. Players think about things they do instinctively when playing with confidence and pick the wrong option.

In the last couple of matches at corners and free-kicks, eagerness to get a goal has seen the team commit to attack the ball and lose sight of the need to win the second ball on the edge of the 18-yard line when cleared. Attacks then cannot be sustained and impetus is lost. Repeatedly crossing into the goalkeeper’s hands does not help. I’m looking out my lucky white heather for Saturday!
