Workers need skills for new revolution
Workers should have the right to improve their skills and be given free training to prepare for the changing world of work, the head of the TUC will declare today.
A “fourth industrial revolution” sparked by increased use of robots and artificial intelligence needs a revolution in workers’ rights as well, according to TUC general secretary Frances O’grady.
She will tell the annual conference of the CBI in London today that new jobs will emerge in manufacturing and other industries.
