Blaze forces family to flee their home

A blaze forced a family to flee their house in town in Dumfries and Galloway, leading to a police and fire service investigation.

A vehicle parked in front of the property in Northfield Park, Annan, was found to be on fire at around 12:15am yesterday and quickly spread to the house.

It is understood a family were inside at the time but managed to escape.

No-one was injured in the blaze.

A police and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service investigation will take place to establish the cause of the blaze.
