Medical imaging firm focuses in on US potential

- By SCOTT REID

Edinburgh-based Blackford Analysis, a provider of medical imaging software, has signed a key deal with a US company.

The agreement with Radnet is through the US firm’s long-term channel partner ERAD and will see Blackford’s image processing platform rolled out in ERAD systems at more than 300 diagnostic imaging centres across the US.

Ben Panter, chief executive of Blackford, said: “We are delighted to have secured this sale to Radnet, whose annual medical imaging volume is more than double that of Scotland’s entire healthcare system. This is a significant opportunity for [us] beyond just revenue, as it provides a massive installed customer base.”
