Ross County In high spirits

-

It was the first time County went into half-time in a league match with at least a three-goal lead in over three years. County were worth their win but a three-goal lead flattered them a bit – there is an argument that Motherwell were even slightly the better team while a goal down.

With two goals to the good, County took over the match and Gardyne scored another with some clinical finishing. I thought three goals was enough to win but Motherwell came out in the second half like a different team. Stephen Robinson has got his side to a cup final and fifth in the league by being able to turn matches around and they almost did it again but County did just enough to prevent an equaliser and go into the international break in high spirits.
