Tributes pour in for dead teenager

A 14-year-old boy has died at his home in Ardrossan.

Police were called to an address in the town’s Eglinton Road on Sunday evening after officers received reports about the death of the boy.

The boy has been named in local media as Ross Gentleman and it is believed he was a pupil at Ardrossan Academy.

Tributes have appeared on social media following news of the death. One friend said: “There’s only going to be one star in the sky tonight.” There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstan­ces surroundin­g the death.
