Winning ways: Organic food venture among social innovation stars
An organic food producer, a project to restore an iconic community building and a business boosting ethical tourism in Scotland have scooped awards in a national competition for their innovative ideas. The Social Innovation Competition, delivered by social enterprise agency Firstport, celebrates individuals and start-up companies in Scotland using their creativity and imagination to solve pressing social issues. The winners – Woodside Arran, pictured, Tain Picture House Regeneration Project and Scotland’s Social Way – receive £5,000 each and tailored business support from Firstport.
