Brechin City More heartbreak

-

Saturday’s home defeat was arguably the most heartbreaking result of a season which has been a sorry tale to say the least.

Just when it looked like we’d held firm for a vital point against Dumbarton, lady luck deserted us and Willie Dyer’s late own goal consigned the boys to another loss – a fifth straight onegoal defeat. Cruel doesn’t come close. Losing in such a fashion makes it difficult to see how we can end this winless streak any time soon but the eternal optimist in me hopes Darren Dods can still turn it around. With a break from action this weekend, hopefully Dods can work on a few things in training and then look to what is a crucial Scottish Cup tie up at Buckie Thistle. A win there would be a real boost for the boys’ morale.
