Dunfermline Cap calls

-

It is flattering that we will have no match on Saturday, with as many as five Pars players involved in internationals. It is testimony to the extent to which Allan Johnston and Sandy Clark are turning this club around.

We had completed the first quarter with an average gate of 6,089. We were never going to emulate that this quarter, as the box office games (Dundee United, Falkirk and St Mirren) are all away and the colder weather bites. But it is unfortunate to have four Saturdays with no home game given we were, clearly, pulling in fair-weather fans (aka glory hunters!) Maybe that will be counteracted by the sheer competitiveness of the second tier, with six clubs still in contention and no meaningless games.
