#BREXIT

The UK will leave the European Union on 29 March 2019 at 11pm. The time and date of Brexit will be put into law and is seen as a message to MPS who want to block it going ahead.

@dannyctkemp noted: “UK to fix Brexit day in law for *March 29, 2019 at 2300 GMT*. Or midnight Brussels time, which is when EU officials had assumed it would be. Bowing to Brussels?”

@jqbilbao observed: “Britain’s exit date from the EU - 11pm Irish time on March 29th 2019 - is to be enshrined in legislation, namely the EU Withdrawal Bill. This would make the UK’S first working day outside the EU April Fools Day”

@Joeltaylorhack said: “If the govt’s #Brexit plans are defeated, having a time & date on the front of a bill is utterly meaningless”

#SCOTLAND

Malky Mackay managed Scotland to a 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands at Pittodrie in what could become the least remembered international of all time. Fans still had their say, of course.

@Viewfromgorgie tweeted: “The match hashtag hasn’t been thought through. It’s like a report of an assault in a

bakery... #SCONED”

@One_f_in_finn posted: “If you boo a Scotland player because of the club they play for don’t bother going to the match”

@Cjr0bertson offered: “Whatever the question, Phillips is NOT the answer.”

@Evanmcfarlane joked: “Kieran Tierney is 20, playing Champions League football and captaining his country, meanwhile I still get my maw to phone the doctors for me”

#NUTELLA

The Italian company behind the popular chocolate hazelnut spread made changes to its recipe, and it did not go down well with Nutella fanatics.

@jameilyc shared: “*reading morning news* “Nutella has changed it’s recipe” *faints*”

@publiceyestl reasoned: “Some changes are good. This one is questionable.”

@Silvanasposato queried: “Why mess with such a great thing?”

@despeaux chimed: “I want the old #Nutella back! I don’t even eat it that often, but it was perfect the way it was!”

@Nutellausa defended their decision: “Our recipe underwent a fine-tuning and continues to deliver the Nutella fans know and love with high quality ingredients”
