Woman, 37, killed in two-car crash on A736

An investigation is continuing into a road crash in which a 37-year-old woman died.

The incident happened on the A736, near to Burnhouse in North Ayrshire, on Saturday.

At around 6:10pm, a 37-year-old woman was driving a Seat Ibiza southbound on the A736 when it was involved in a collision with a bronze-coloured Renault Grand Scenic being driven northbound by a 57-year-old man.

The 37-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
