Police called after youths seen on church roof

A youth was charged after police in Inverness responded to reports of two individuals on the roof of a church.

Officers said that at around 12:23pm yesterday, they were sent to East Church in the city’s Academy Street. On attendance, one youth was quickly located and safely removed to street level.

However, the second youth could not be traced.

He was later found having made his own way off the roof.

One youth was charged as a result of the incident, officers at Police Scotland said.
