Road safety alert plea after spate of accidents

Police Scotland are urging pedestrians and motorists to take extra care on the roads after several pedestrians were injured in collisions across the Northeast.

Sergeant Colin Matheson said: “It is time for all road users to be more careful.” Pedestrians need to be aware that it may be more difficult for drivers to see them and that using mobile phones can cause distractions, police officers said.
