North Korea released a statement calling the US president a “lunatic old man”. Trump seemed to take particular exception to being described as old. @realdonaldtrump tweeted: “Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me ‘old,’ when I would NEVER call him “short and fat?” Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!” @jutopia joked: “Kim Jongun: Trump is old and crazy. Trump: What do you mean, ‘Old?’” @karenlsweeney queried: “Apparently he was fine about the lunatic part of Kim Jong-un’s insult.” @Susandelacourt shared: “International diplomacy. It’s like recess, but with nuclear weapons.”

More than 60,000 turned out as Scotland defeated Samoa in an entertaining match at Murrayfield to kick off the autumn tests with New Zealand and Australia up next for Gregor Townsend’s men. @Indycyclist tweeted: “Great game of rugby. Love scoring 6 tries against anyone. Not sure if I like conceding 5 though. It was too easy at times for Samoa. Bigger teams will pick us off.” @jhosie43 noted: “Has there ever been a game so high on points but so low on general quality? So many knock-ons and missed tackles.” @ispotts27 posted: “Samoa and Scotland are putting on some great rugby right now. Great start to the November internationals.”
