Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Torchlight Procession: Young people will choose a word to sum up Scotland which will be deployed for a huge visual spectacle at the curtainraiser to the fire parade they will lead through the city. Glasgow International Comedy Festival School of Stand-up: Participants will get the chance to hone their comedic abilities and develop skills in writing, idea development, performance, public speaking and networking. Tiree Music Festival: The biggest event on the Hebridean island dubbed the Hawaii of the North will see a group of young people charged with programming a new talent stage. Science in the Park at The Kelpies: The home of the world’s largest equine sculptures in Falkirk will be transformed into a hub for activities, workshops and talks in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths. Knight at the Castle: A chance to experience Scotland’s most iconic landmark like never before at a special after-hours event created by Historic Environment Scot, Young Scot, Edinburgh Napier University, Impact Arts and the Scotland’s Urban Past project. Dundee V&A Opening: Young people will help design and plan an event to launch Scotland’s first museum dedicated to design.
