Swastikas spark hunt for vandals after night spree

-

Swastika symbols have been found painted on to vehicles and a wall in a vandalism spree in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officers say the spate happened around Mcconechy’s garage in Lockerbie.

A police spokesman said: “Some time between 2:30pm on Sunday and 7:30am on Monday, a number of swastika symbols have been painted on vehicles at the garage and on the wall of the nearby butcher’s shop.”

Constable David Noble said police are carrying out door-to-door inquiries into the incident.
