Two charged over human trafficking
Two people have been charged in connection with alleged human trafficking offences following a police operation.
The 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were charged following an operation in Elgin, Moray, on Tuesday.
They were detained during inquiries carried out by officers from the Public Protection Unit.
Police Scotland said a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Detective Inspector Alan Armit, who led the operation, said: “I would like to thank those who provided information to us.”
