The World Scotch Pie Championsh­ips prove to be a tasty affair as judges decide on upper crust

Judge David Kyles was all eyes at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermlin­e yesterday.

He was on hand as the 2017 World Scotch Pie Championsh­ips got under way.

As well as the popular delicacy, offerings included macaroni, haggis, apple and vegetarian fare.

The winners will be unveiled at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernaul­d on 9 January.
