Papal blessing: Francis takes delivery of sports car in Vatican fundraising drive

Pope Francis picked up they keys to a £165,000 Lamborghini decked out in Papal white as part of a fundraising drive by the Vatican.

His Holiness was presented with the top of the range sports car by its makers and it was immediately blessed by the new owner.

It was adorned with his autograph before it goes to auction at Sotheby’s to raise funds to aid Christians in Iraq recovering from war with the Islamic State who saw their communities left reduced to rubble.

Funds will go to projects helping with rebuilding work at Ninevah Plains near northeast Mosul.
