Question time
Alexander Mckay (Scotsman, 14 November) seems to have adopted the well-established principle that if you repeat a dishonest assertion often enough it will become accepted as the truth.
The demonstration outside the BBC’S Glasgow office to which Mr Mckay referred did not occur because Alex Salmond was given a difficult question. It was about the fact that his answer was largely edited out of the broadcast and when Nick Robinson obscured this, the BBC connived with the dishonesty. That is what led to the demonstration.
